Calling all change-makers and community champions in Utah! We are thrilled to announce the launch of the GRIT Award, a prestigious recognition that celebrates the spirit of Giving, Respecting, Involving, and Transforming within our communities. This award honors individuals who embody the essence of community engagement and have dedicated their time, passion, and efforts to make a lasting impact.
GRIT Award
Giving, Respecting, Involving, and Transforming Award: This award seeks to recognize exceptional individuals who have exhibited a steadfast commitment to giving back, respecting differences, involving diverse voices, and driving transformative change through their remarkable community engagement initiatives. Over time, these dedicated souls have sown the seeds of positive change in Utah, making it a better place for all.
Award Details
- Location: Utah
- Awards: Given annually.
- Prize: Awardees will receive a grant of $5,000 to be donated to a qualifying nonprofit organization of their choice, amplifying the impact of their giving spirit.
Nomination Process
- Nominations are open to everyone who knows an individual who embodies the spirit of GRIT. If you know someone who fits the criteria for either award, we invite you to share their story with us. Help us shine a spotlight on these outstanding individuals who have made a lasting difference within our communities.
How to Nominate
- Simply submit a nomination form with details about the nominee's contributions. Tell us their story, share examples of their dedication, and explain how they've brought positive change to Utah through their work.
Deadline for Nominations
- Nominations will be accepted until June 30th. Our panel of distinguished members our PROG community, comprised of leaders and influencers, will carefully review each nomination to select the most deserving awardees.
- Join us in recognizing and celebrating the GRIT Award recipients for their remarkable achievements in creating a better, more inclusive, and compassionate Utah. Together, we can honor those who truly embody the spirit of Giving, Respecting, Involving, and Transforming, and who have fostered Genuine Relationships and Inclusivity Together.
