About the Youth Advisory Council

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is an advisory body that offers a crucial perspective on the planning and creation of the PROG Development Center  and the development of the Greater West Valley community. The Youth Advisory Council empowers young leaders to cultivate community connections, leadership skills, and opportunities to amplify their voices with stakeholders to foster their personal, academic, and professional growth. We provide guidance and opportunities to develop initiatives that are mission-driven to foster growth in our youth

Who We’re Looking For!

  • High school students from Granger, Hunter, Cyprus and Roots High School
  • Able to commit to the entire 12-month program
  • Communicate with advisor and peers
  • Participate in program activities, volunteer projects, and workshops

Schedule:

  • Meetings every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month for 2 hours

Stipend:

  • Students will receive a total compensation of $500 for the entire program, disbursed in two installments of $250 each–once at the halfway mark and again at the program’s completion.
